" STILL FINDING MY WAY " CHARLES "WIGG" WALKER --  DEEP DOWN RECORDS  DD-1

NOT THIS TIME -- SOMEBODY LIKE YOU -- SWEAT-- HOW WRONG -- LOVES GONNA GET
YOU -- MORE THAN YOU'LL EVER KNOW -- LIVIN' IN A WORLD OF HURT-- I'M STILL
FINDING MY WAY -- WEEKEND LOVE AFFAIR -- CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL -- LOVE DON'T
WORK LIKE THAT -- HUSH MONEY -- CHAIN REACTION -- STANDIN' IN A CIRCLE -- LET'S
FALL BACK IN LOVE

Of the surviving vocalists from the glory days of the "Night Train" era, Charles "Wigg"
Walker has been vastly under-recorded for a man of his immeasureable talents.  He's
recently been on the serious comeback trail, tho, as lead singer for the soul-funk group The
Dynamites, gigging throughout the South.

Producer Randy Coleman and Deep Down Records have just released Wigg Walker and
"Still Finding My Way," another red-hot slab o' soul that lets Charles' tremendous voice lead
the way on fifteen cuts that cover blues, funk, and R & B. Walker possesses a voice honed
over years of "soul-shoutin" in the grand traditions of Cooke, Redding, and Johnnie Taylor.
He can growl, he can shout, and he can"bring it down" for the ladies, all in the matter of a few
measures. A fine example of his range is the tale of a hot lady holding the proverbial
"smoking gun" in "Hush Money."

Plus, he's backed by some of Music City's best session players, such as
Larry Van Loon and
Johnny Neel
on keys, and backing vocals from Kim Morrison and Sally Pledger. The rhythm
section is tighter than Ebenezer Scrooge, and the horn lines are cleaner than the Board of
Health, giving this set that cool, "old-school" vibe!!  A lost love is the story behind "Livin' In A
World Of Hurt." Wigg turns in a plaintive performance on the ballad of a man adjusting to a
failing relationship in"call it what you will, I Call It Love." The funk burners are present as
well. Take a listen to"Sweat" for a real workout, indeed!  And, with its poignant lyrics
regarding today's society and the world we live in, our favorite was Wigg's rapid-fire delivery
in "if you're Standin' In A Circle, you can't choose a side!"

Charles Walker is one of those rare singers who could take the Greater Nashville telephone
directory and sing the names right off the pages with unbridled soul.  The age-old adage is
true, that "they just don't make 'em like Wigg any more," and it's a pleasure to see more
recorded material from him.  Enjoy "Still Finding My Way" from a man capable of generating
"99,000 watts of SOUL POWER!!" Keeping the faith....Sheryl and Don Crow.
